Thanks for saving my back!Last
year when I injured my back so badly I could hardly walk, my martial
arts teacher told me that I had to see Dan Carr if I wanted to heal it. I
was skeptical, but I am so glad I took his advice. Dan s technique of
breaking up scar tissue is pretty painful, but so much more effective
than any other type of massage that I have had. He was able to
fix my back and has also helped me with my neck and ankles. An extra
bonus is that this body work makes you more flexible which might be
useful if you want to kick somebody in the head, just for example.

Skilled with Seniors!Daniel
has great skill working with elderly people who are mobility impaired.
He has the physical strength to make his clients feel incredibly safe
during the treatment while sharing great knowledge about physiology and
healing. Daniel is a hip guy who also understands generational
differences and carries great respect and compassion for the wisdom of
his elders. He worked wonders for my father who, back in Michigan, still
talks about him today!

Thai Massage MASTER!05/03/2007
7/08/07 Dan has virtually solved my sciatica problem. 18 months of
agony has been solved by his understanding of the human body. Last
session we reviewed my file of when I first came to him. All of that
pain has gone. I am now suffering from some peripheral pain in my right
leg which is simply a matter of some stretching, yoga and a few sessions
with Dan to solve. Whenever I leave his office, he has knocked out the
pain. I am re-learning to stretch some seriously mangled muscles.
Starting yoga this week I hope. Bottom line is that I see a light at the
end of the tunnel. My case was a little more complex due to a bad right
foot and an under rehabbed left leg as a teen. Dan's patience and
expertise is helping me through the mental anguish of 18 solid months of
agonizing pain. I cannot say enough about his approach...it is the ONLY
thing that has helped me through this ordeal. B Last session we had a
breakthrough, it was absolutely amazing. I am not "cured", but I can

breakthrough, it was absolutely amazing. I am not "cured", but I can
tell after just three sessions that we are on our way. I am totally
impressed with Dan's understanding of the human body and how in touch he
is with my areas of discomfort. If you are suffering, take the leap,
you won't be sorry! Dan has gone above "just a treatment". He works with
you to become aware of factors in your life (stress, work, poor
posture, your bed, car, etc...) He helps you see things that are
contributing to your back pain that are extremely easy to fix, yet we
are often very lazy, set in our ways or unaware you are helping to
create this scenario in your own body. I was at the physical and mental
breaking point because of this ever constant pain and the gloomy mindset
it created. Dan and his work on me has given me hope. Not just hope but
he has helped me see the light and has given me an awareness of self
& environment. These tools will assist my recovery so that
hopefully, I never suffer from this again!Show less

Get Frozen Shoulder Fixed without SurgeryI
suffered from severe frozen shoulder, and I initially saw a orthopedic
surgeon, who game me a cortisone short, which only loosened my shoulder
for a very short time, my shoulder was so bad, I could not raise my arm
beyond the height of my hip, and could not reach for anything without
suffering searing radiating pain up my arm. I was told by the doctor my
only recourse was surgery. Surgery was not something I wanted and wanted
other options. I knew a friend fo mine was seeing Daniel for theraphy,
and asked if he might possibly help my shoulder. Daniel gave me a
consultation, and although I said it was my shoulder, he determined that
root of my problem was my neck, and asked if I'd ever been rear ended

Daniel fixed me. Everyone sees what a miracle Daniel has worked with me,
and I can't say enough to sing Daniel's ability to fix the problem, no
matter what it is. Daniel has the most integrity I've ever seen in
someone who is out there to truly fix someone.Show less

Dan Carr...Five starzI
played soccer for many years and because of this I experience knee pain
whenever I engage in a workout routine, have been on my feet all day,
or for no reason at all. I am a nursing student and I cannot afford to
be limited by this pain while I am in the hospital. The best I can
explain my pain is as a throbbing sensation deep within my knees that
seems so inaccessible for any method of relief. Thankfully, Daniel's
treatment has been that method. His skill allows him to pinpoint my most
problematic areas, which are different in each knee, and he curtails
his treatment to exactly what my body needs depending on the location,
intensity, and character of the pain. What I like best about the
treatment is that Daniel is very good at recognizing the strengths and
limitations of my body so I respond and work with the treatment instead

there's less stagnation and I can feel the blood moving, my legs feel
elongated and that deep pain is relieved. My time frames of pain relief
are continuing to expand. I am amazed when I reflect on the week and
realize I had not winched in pain once which is a place I never thought I
would be. I know this will only improve.Show full review

Very helpful in getting mobile againI
found Daniel about 14 months ago as part of my quest to become active
again. Prior to a serious accident, I was an endurance athlete who
enjoyed triathlons, marathons and general outdoor activities. Needless
to say, those activities stopped and at best I could walk about a mile
with out inducing back spasms and sometimes bed ridden pain. Daniel
intuitively knew where to work and began his quest of breaking down scar
tissue and bound muscle fibers from injury and years of inactivity (and
probably some associated with being overly active prior to injury).
After four treatments on my shoulder and neck area I was able to start
lifting weights (lightly) for the first time in 5 years, without
inducing shoulder, neck pain and swelling. (Five years ago I was
involved in a serious accident with a SUV while road biking on a Texas

my body was in constant pain and spasm. Part of my rehab involved
working with various acupuncturist, chiropractors, massage and physical therapist.) Daniel's technique is one that I have never before encountered (I have seen about 10 different massage
therapists through my 5 yr recovery). After some treatments I could
swear my body was rebalanced in way that felt much less restrictive to
move - even good, something that I have not felt in a long time. Daniel
incorporates active stretching and massage, among other
techniques. At times there maybe some discomfort, but rest assured the
pay off is worth those brief moments. If you suffer from chronic pain
and/or injury, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you seek out Daniel and see for
yourself. The very first time I had a session I knew I was on to
something.Show less

Thanks to Daniel I am Pain-FREEI've
never experienced anything that comes close to my sessions with Daniel.
His commitment to healing my very stubborn sciatica and hip pain is
truly beyond compare. I've never worked with anyone who has as much
integrity, dedication and skill - and amazing intuition. I've referred
him to four very dear people in my life and they all continue to see
him, as do I, for injuries that couldn't be solved using other methods.
He really takes the time to understand what is going on with you, each
time you see him, so he can determine the best treatment for you. And
yes, it can be extremely painful - it helps to have a tennis ball to
squeeze and engage Daniel in some conversation so laughter will help
take your mind off it! I really appreciate Daniel for helping me let go
of my addiction to exercise that really wasn't serving me at all - I
feel lighter and more free for knowing him.

Review for Daniel Carr's Thai MassageDaniel
Carr is changing my life. I've had lower back pain for 15 years almost
every day. I have seen chiropractors, physical therapists, massage
therapists...but nothing has worked. My last physical therapist
referred me to a 'pain clinic' so I can learn to live with chronic pain.
So you can imagine I was skeptical upon making an appointment w/
Daniel. However, since seeing him my back has improved in ways I never
expected. I've been seeing him for about two months and wake up w/
almost no pain. After a few stretches it's typically gone. And when I do
something to re-injure it during the week, I can easily stretch and do
some of the techniques he suggested and the pain subsides. Daniel is
incredibly intuitive and thoughtful in his approach to treatment. He is
respectful and supportive, and when you think you can't handle anymore,
he finds a way whether through whit, or direct frankness and always with
kindness, to encourage you to go further. While this kind of massage is painful ...Daniel

he finds a way whether through whit, or direct frankness and always with
kindness, to encourage you to go further. While this kind of massage
is painful, and it is, I've come to understand there is no growth w/o
pain. There is no getting better w/o going through this. And Daniel is a
wonderful container for helping work through the pain both emotionally
and physically. He's up for where ever the journey goes. The work he
does will release your pain and allow for a greater quality of life. I
never thought I'd be without pain and I'm 95% better than I was two
months ago. If I had to stop seeing him this week, I'd still be so
incredibly grateful. I feel lucky he's in the bay area and look forward
to not only getting rid of the pain all together but improving my
overall strength and flexibility in ways I never thought I be able to.
He's completely helped me change my attitude towards my back. Before I
felt hopeless and probably a little helpless. I now feel encouraged and
motivated and can't wait to resume doing things I never thought I could
do. I think if your pain is severe and you've had it a while, it's
probably best to commit to working with him for a while, but even one massage
- you'll be walking out of there a different person, at least
physically and probably emotionally too. In addition, 8 months ago I had
a baby, which only exacerbated my back pain. After pregnancy, as my
body was coming back together, the pain got worse. If you're pregnant or
had a baby and feeling the pain as the relaxin (the hormone that helps
your body's joints loosen in preparation to give birth) leaves your
system and your hormones are getting back to normal - call him! After
pregnancy, a woman's body typically shifts back into place but bc we now
carry a baby in our arms, it goes back into place in all the wrong
places. Daniel can help with that too. Honestly, he's the real deal.
He's invested in seeing his clients get better and truly wants that for
people as he is not a stranger to physical pain. I hope you'll call him.Show less

Best Thai Massage in TownI
have been to countless body work professionals and I have never seen
results delivered like this guy. I had a knee problem that nobody could
address, Dan Carr fixed the problem in one treatment. Largely technique
but more important was his ability to diagnosis the problem. Be sure to
call ahead as he is usually quite busy.
