- Nov 26, 2011 I am a US Army Airborne Ranger with
neck trauma from grenade shrapnel, multiple bullet trauma &
multiple Airborne jumps. The last 3 years has seen rapid deterioration
and increased pain to the point of my need to take opiate
pharmaceuticals to deal with the situation. In spite of that, my neck
mobility was next to zero with constant pain riddling my neck and arms.
The top VA & UCLA Orthopedic Surgeons, chiropractors, and physical
therapist provided no quantifiable relief to the situation. In short, I
was pretty much resigned to the condition being permanent. I met Daniel
Carr as the Eastern Mindfulness Training Expert for PTSD Therapy at the
West LA Veterans Administration. He said that he could help me, which I
didn't believe. His Thai Massage work on me is the only therapy
so far that's helped, and I am feeling as if the condition will be
nearly completely fixed with a couple more treatments: my range of
motion has improved approximately 50% with 3 treatments, with a 70%
reduction in pain. The treatments are painful (I have a very high pain
threshold, believe me), but the results are immediately felt afterwards.
I am confident that I will be able to work out again and become truly
active after a long period on inactivity, which is truly life changing. I
am thankful to have met Daniel and I will continue to listen to his
wisdom and knowledge of the Body, Mind, and Spirit (BTW, his mind
training classes at the VA are the most popular with all of the combat
Veterans suffering from PTSD).
- Aug 11, 2011 ( I have been studying Martial arts for 30 years.
When I injured my legs and shoulder 2 years ago I had to give up
teaching and practicing until my body healed. I went to my doctor and
had x rays and MRIs but the doctors said there was nothing they could do
for me. I went to Daniel and he treated me. The relief from pain was a
great feeling. I started going to traditional Thai massage clinics(to save money) with Thai
nationals working on me but was never able to be completely healed. I
decided to go back to Daniel and what a great decision. My legs and
shoulder are completely without pain now. I don't know what I was
thinking about to go somewhere else. Even though the treatments were
cheaper the end result didn't compare to the excellent work Daniel does.
If you have joint or muscle pains you've got to see him, forget the
doctors.

Direct,truthful,effective treatment with positive
results--Being plagued with injuries and deteriorating health sustained
from working as a "Protection Specialist" in 30 countries, in over 300
cities spanning the last 30 years. I was hoping to have a little reduced
suffering and a couple more years at work.I made an appointment with
Daniel Carr and visited him with an "Open Mind but Closed Body". To say
satisfied, surprized or amazed would be an understatement he is
Incredibly Exceptional!. Dan has the extraordinary ability and physical
skills to: read, address and execute Thai Massage Therapy in a
Masterful Way. He opens tight joints, lengthens muscles, tonifies nerves
and erases "Holding Patterns" in a non clasical, but, sequential
manner.Dan provides drastic improvement with tangible results in every
application.Dan has a foundation of :compassion,strong work
ethic, discipline and a high level of responsibility in his committment
to his life, work and patients. I "NOW" have the opportunity to have a
new functional body with an increase in life quality. My Life and Career
wouldn't be the same without you Dan.........THANK YOU
- Jul 4, 2011 8 Years of visits to multiple orthopedic surgeons
receiving various diagnoses and treatments proven completely useless
when compared to my first treatment from Daniel. I spent 8 years
incapable of kneeling past 90 degrees without sharp knee pain. During
the first treatment Daniel had me sitting on my heels without pain.
Truly revelatory. Through further treatments Daniel has been able to
work out most of my day to day knee pain as well. Daniel has an innate
ability for identifying what is wrong with your body and for treating it
effectively and efficiently through his mastery of Thai massage.
I never feel better than when I have just received a treatment from
Daniel, but what is beyond invaluable is the long term benefits. I have
returned to activities that I haven't enjoyed for 8 years because of
knee pain including basketball. If you have chronic pain of any kind or
an injury that you'd rather not let linger do yourself a favor and give
Daniel a visit.
- Jun 30, 2011 His Thai Master training and body sense
developed from a life of martial arts has given Daniel Carr truly magic
hands. My wife and I have cervical myelopathy and are constantly
battling the cycle of inflammation, referred pain, muscle spasams, nerve
swelling. Daniel breaks us out of the cycle, breaks down scar tissue
and sets us back on the path of repair & recovery. We work out 3 to 5
times per week (yoga & swimming) and often find our selves back in
that pain cycle. We are also among his geographically challenged clients
and find ourselves counting the weeks until we can once again commune
with Daniel in body (massage), spirit (martial arts calm,
centering, & sense of balance), and mind (far ranging discussions
about life, philosophy, irony...). Thanks Daniel!
- Jun 20, 2011 Daniel Carr is a healer's healer! His
depth of knowledge is truly remarkable. He is a rare mix of intellect,
immense heart, and warmth. He created a safe and nurturing environment,
which is especially important to me as a woman. Not only did he address
my presenting symptom, but he was able to trace the origin of my pain,
which led to a much more comprehensive and complete healing. I am truly
grateful for the care and presence he brings to his work, and recommend
that anyone in pain or anyone wanting more vitality and improved health
consult with Dan.
- Jun 17, 2011 Dan is literally a life saver. I
was faced with serious physical repetitive stress injuries from
operating a mouse for far too long. Dan was able relieve the acute pain
and helped address long standing issues from prior injuries that had not
been fully corrected by a rotator cuff surgery some years ago. I went
in broken and came stronger than normal. A deep heartfelt thank you to
Dan.
- Jun 16, 2011 Unbelieveable healing ability. Dan
finds the places in your body that need work, the ones that are causing
you that chronic pain, the stuff you don't even realize you've come to
accept as part of your life. HE gets in there and the next thing you
know you can look behind you to see where that car is in your blind spot
with out that sharp pain, you can move your arms and shoulders looser
then you can ever remember. It's direct, he digs in but he knows what
hes doing and the benefits will blow your mind. I have never had a
better massage, never felt any kind of treatment was as beneficial to my overall health.
- Jun 14, 2011 Daniel Carr's work will heal wounds you
didn't know you had. I really mean that. He will dig up and break up
scar tissue you might have from a childhood fall you don't remember,
that prevented you from fully utilizing, say, a leg. And all this time
you thought this was just the way you walked. I regularly get his
treatment, It's a matter of quality of life. And being in the presence
of Master Dan himself is always an honor. I recommend anyone who has an
ailment to go see Daniel Carr first, you can spare yourself a lot of
pain. He regularly heals my carpal tunnel, which cost me months of work
in the past. It's so worth it in any regard. And even if you feel fine,
go see him anyway at least once. You'd be surprised at what he can
uncover. I can recommend no one else nearly as highly.
- Jun 14, 2011 Training for my first triathalon at age 40, biking
and running numbers were decent, but swimming numbers weren't great. I
was a strong swimmer when I was young but now, scar tissue in my
shoulder, probably from martial arts injuries when I was a kid, was
keeping me from getting full arm extension on my swim-stroke. I tried
other bodyworkers but none could fix my shoulder. After one session with
Daniel, I could feel the improvement in my arm extension. After the
second session, Daniel got almost full rotation in the shoulder and I
was able to finish my first triathalon, posting a respectable finish in
my age group. The bigger benefit was relief from the chronic neck and
shoulder pain that I have experienced for years. If pain is limiting
your activities or keeping you from peak performance, Daniel Carr is the
man to see.
